Like to take selfies? Have lots of portrait photos? Usually we take photos spontaneously, so they are often poor quality. Mobile users can edit photos easily with the Facetune app: a smart program for enhancing portrait photos. Facetune is packed with various features, like auto correction, teeth whitening, skin retouching, collection of filters and so on. It also allows you to choose trendy effects before taking a shot.

It comes as no surprise now that users on other platforms want something like that too. What to do if you need Facetune for PC? Since the app is created for mobiles only, you’ll need a decent alternative.

How to remove something from a photo on facetune

Check out PhotoWorks - a powerful but easy to use portrait editor that works fine on all Windows versions (Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP). Just like Facetune, it has some magic under its hood too - an AI that can do all the hard job for you. PhotoWorks can also auto correct photos, apply makeup, reshape faces and top it all with gorgeous filters. Let’s take a closer look!

  1. The app is currently available for $2.99, but the price will soon return to $3.99. (Facetune @facebook) You can use Facetune to hide your gray hairs, smooth out your skin and whiten your teeth.
  2. Months after Facetune’s release, the word “selfie” was added to the Oxford Dictionary, foreshadowing the app’s almost immediate success. Within a year, Facetune was the top-ranked photo and video app in the App Store across 120 countries, and by 2016, Lightricks had launched Facetune2, a more advanced version that was also an instant hit.

Driven by users' need to quickly remove objects from photos, we created a quick tool that will save you hours. Just define the area you want to delete and the object will disappear in mere seconds. The best part is that you don’t need to be a professional editor, or even have a lot of spare time, to pull it off.

It takes a tremendous amount of time and patience to nail every aspect of a photo shoot at once—sometimes you’ll catch the smile but the lighting will be off, or the lighting is great but the framing is wrong. If you’re lucky, everything will turn out perfectly—but you’ll have missed a few details, like a sneaky bra strap poking out of the shirt. The video comes from the fine people at Phlearn and takes a quick and witty approach to solving the problem using Photoshop:

“This is something that’s going to come up quite a bit when you’re taking photos of people… You’re gonna be photographing, you’re going to be thinking about other things, like the lighting, are they smiling, am I getting all my settings right. And a lot of times, you miss little things—like bra straps showing, a little bit of hair, stuff like that.”

It’s easy: all you to is use the spot-healing brush, click “content-aware” at the top, and run the cursor over the object you want to erase. This will replace the object in question with its surrounding textures, like so:

Definitely a useful tip for starting photographers, and a good reason not to let little details ruin your shots.
